“I think Wren will be keeping his distance in London for a while…” Bryan tweeted yesterday, in response to one fan’s (now crushed) hopes that Wren would soon be back on our PLL screens. We have to admit: our hopes are a bit crushed, too. Wren may be super shady, but he’s also super charming. He tends to liven up even the most expository of scenes with his presence. We also want him back in town because we think he may have a lot of the answers the Liars are looking for. He has a Radley connection, and seems to know more about the “A” game than he reasonably should.
We can’t help but read something into Bryan’s phrasing: “Wren will be keeping his distance.” It sounds like the good doctor might be playing things intentionally cautious. Does he have a reason to stay out of Rosewood? Like involvement in a crime, for instance. Right now, there are three unsolved murders in Rosewood: Wilden’s, the girl in Ali’s grave’s, and Mrs. DiLaurentis’. Did Wren have a part to play in at least one of them, and is keeping his distance in order to steer clear of criminal investigations? Its seems a likely possibility, especially given Melissa’s somber expression when she returned from London.
Why do you think Wren is staying away? Do you want him to return to Rosewood as much as we do? Sound off in the comments below!
