Now that Kandi Burruss's play, A Mother's Love, is wrapped up and done with, she's taking her talent from the stage to the small screen. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is slated to appear in a featured role in a made-for-TV flick called Where's the Love?, airing on the UP network on Saturday, May 3.
Kandi recently took to Instagram to throw the movie a little promo.
"Repost @phillipnetwork! The movie #WheresTheLove premiers on May 3rd on @up_tv. Please spread the word! #actress #tvmovie," Kandi wrote, along with a brief trailer.
The romantic drama will premiere at 7 p.m. ET on the Uplifting Entertainment network on Saturday, May 3. The cast includes Lammar Rucker and Denise Boutte of Meet the Browns, who play a not-so-happily married couple. By day, the two are both beloved talk show hosts, but things are less than perfect back at home.
Kandi is part of the all-star ensemble cast, along with Baywatch alum Nicole Eggert (also of Charles in Charge fame), Tommy Ford, David Banner and Angie Jones, among others.
We first heard about this project a few months ago when Kandi posted a few photos from the set in late February. At the time, Kandi was working hard and rising at the crack of dawn to get to hair and makeup by 6 a.m., but luckily, the movie was actually filmed in Atlanta not far from where Kandi lives.
Of course, little did we know that Kandi was also planning an April wedding at the time! She really is superwoman!
