It’s Earth Day! Here’s What the Voice of Captain Planet Looks Like (PHOTO)

The power is yours! It's Earth Day today, as it has been every April 22 since 1970. But the '90s franchise Captain and the Planeteers (later The New Adventures of Captain Planet) made every day Earth Day!

The series boasted several notable actors and voice actors. Reading Rainbow and Star Trek: The Next Generation's LeVar Burton played the Planeteer Kwame, and Whoopi Goldberg voiced the spirit of the planet, Gaia, from 1990-1993. In the first season, both Meg Ryan and Jeff Goldblum voiced villains, and Tim Curry voiced one for four years!

Always at the helm of the series, though, was David Coburn as Captain Planet. You've heard his voice in many places before: Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego, Pole Position, and even the New Kids on the Block animated series, voicing the cartoon version of Jenny McCarthy's fiance Donnie Wahlberg. But what does he look like in real life? Click through to find out!
