Did Monifah and KeKe Wyatt End Their Friendship? (VIDEO)
TV One’s hit reality show R&B Divas Atlantais coming back with a third season tomorrow, Wednesday, April 23, and we can’t wait. The network released a peek at the first few minutes of the premiere, and guys, it looks like musical sisters Monifah and KeKe Wyatt’s friendship is on the rocks!
In the five-minute sneak peak, we pick up months after KeKe’s birthday last season (which ended in Syleena Johnson and Nicci Gilbert’s big blowout) and KeKe reveals that she hasn’t heard from the other divas — specifically Monifah. Throughout the past two seasons, the ladies grew especially close, as KeKe learned to tackle her insecurity and trust issues. However, it appears to KeKe that Monifah is keeping her distance. While KeKe’s husband, Michael, and her mother, Lorna, think that KeKe’s making more out of the situation, Monifah later reveals that KeKe may not be crazy…
As you can see, Monifah definitely has time to hang. We see her meeting up with Syleena to do a little workout and catch up. While hitting the weights and getting into shape, Monifah admits that she’s been cutting certain people out of her life, including KeKe.
“You know, I got mad love for KeKe, but the cultivating of the friendship, that hasn’t happened … we’re just in two different places and it is what it is,” she confides to Syleena. Um, what does that mean?
“Sometimes we outgrow people and you know, I’m just embracing it,” Monifah says in her confessional. We know that Monifah and KeKe get into a bit of altercation when KeKe “tap dances” on Monifah last bit of patience, but does that mean the end of Monifah and KeKe’s friendship? Guess we’ll have to tune in to find out!
R&B Divas Atlanta Season 3 premieres Wednesday, April 23 at 10 p.m. ET on TV One.
