Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) is in a full-fledged rage spiral over Cristina's (Sandra Oh) Harper Avery award snub in this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy — Season 10, Episode 21: "Change of Heart" — airing Thursday, April 24.
And April (Sarah Drew) has the unlucky distinction of being the first person Mer sees as she and Owen (Kevin McKidd) return from the Boston ceremony.
"You're back!" April chirps as the sneak peek below starts.
"You're gonna want to stay away from me today," snaps Meredith.
"Where's Cristina?" April prattles on. "She must be devastated. If I were her, I'd be face-first in a pile of chocolate chip cookies."
"Stop it!" shouts Mer. "Cristina Yang doesn't need your pity. She was robbed, and you robbed her!"
"Uh, I did?" responds a confused April.
"Yes, you're an Avery by association, with that pack of fools," Mer continues. "Never mind an award-winning surgeon versus some halfwit who tinkers with science kits in his mother's basement!"
As April makes an "OMG" face, Meredith skulks past her, seething, "I told you to stay away from me today, didn't I?"
Hell hath no fury like a Meredith feeling scorn!
Grey's Anatomy Season 10, Episode 21 — "Change of Heart" — airs this Thursday, April 24, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
