Amanda Bynes Allowed to Drive Again Following DUI Arrest in 2012 (VIDEO)
Things are definitely looking up for Amanda Bynes! Since her release from rehab, Amanda’s been hard at work putting her life together, and now, she gets an important part of her independence back: Her driver’s license.
According to People, Amanda’s officially back on the road. After two hit-and-run charges and a 2012 DUI charge, the DMV shows that her license has been reinstated — and Amanda was spotted driving around with her dad on Sunday. Yay, Amanda!
Amanda’s recovery has proved she’s on her way to a better life. After successfully completing her first semester at FIDM studying fashion merchandising, Amanda has worked on getting fit and has spent most of her time at home with her parents, and quietly enjoying a spring break trip to Mexico. Sounds like the adjustments she’s made in her life are working for her!
While many people speculated Amanda’s erratic behavior last year was due to a mental illness, Amanda’s lawyer has confirmed that she was never diagnosed with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. In fact, her mother, Lynn Bynes, blames her issues on marijuana use and says Amanda’s currently medication-free.
Not that it matters now that Amanda’s feeling good again. We hope she stays on the path that she’s on — We love to see her doing well!
