Kit Harington on Life After Jon Snow — And Why He’ll Never Join Twitter
Kit Harington is very grateful to have landed such a big break as the role of Jon Snow on HBO’s Game of Thrones but, as with any job, there is at least one thing he doesn’t like about it: his hair.
In his cover interview for the latest issue of Rolling Stone, Kit talks about making sure his next big role after GoT is far removed from the fantasy world he’s inhabited for the last four years. “I told my agent, ‘No more swords, no more horses,’” he says, citing a fear of getting pigeonholed as the reason for those ground rules. But branching out and taking on more diverse roles is just one part of Kit’s post-GoT plans.
“And maybe I can cut my f—king hair,” he adds. Though we have an affection for Jon’s mop of dark curls (they go well with his Night’s Watch uniform, after all), we can see how one would want to change things up after a few seasons. However, since he’s got at least two more years on the show (unless he falls victim to George R. R. Martin’s axe like so many pivotal characters have), it’s going to be a while before Kit gets to visit the salon.
Another change Kit won’t be making anytime soon is to his anti-social media stance. "I don't do Twitter because I don't want to talk about myself more than I already have to," he explains. We guess with all those curls he’s rocking his head is big enough as is!
