“#Spoby fans. Don't be jealous. @brandonwjones is back and I'm loving it,” Troian captioned the adorable photo of she and Brandon hugging on set, grins on their faces. We totally understand Troian’s sentiment. There is enough room in her life for more than one man. Her heart may belong to Toby, but that doesn’t mean she can’t be besties with Andrew. He’s actually been a pretty good friend to her. He gave her a chance to maintain her spot on the academic decathlon team when she was spiraling into a pit of depression and unpredictable bouts of anger, and tried to be there for her when she fell back into study pill abuse.
As much as we like Andrew, we can’t help but notice he seems to show up whenever Spencer is suffering a crisis — or, more accurately, Spencer tends to seek him out whenever she’s suffering a crisis. Does his appearance in Season 5, Episode 4 mean that Spencer is having another breakdown? Or, perhaps, she’s finally figured out a way to be friends with Andrew when she’s not about to lose it? That would be nice for him. As much as we don’t think their relationship has been romantic, we’ve always gotten the feeling that Andrew is totally into Spencer and she uses those feelings to manipulate him into doing things for her. Andrew deserves better, and we know Spencer can be an amazing friend.
