The Walking Dead Season 5: If Daryl and Beth Hooked Up, Would Hershel Approve? Scott Wilson Says…

Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) called Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson) a “tough sonofab*tch” in The Walking Dead Season 4, so what would that tough papa think of Daryl gettin’ busy with his baby girl, Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) in Season 5?

If Hershel had lived past Episode 8, we might never have wondered about such a thing, but Hershel’s death, and the loss of the prison, pushed Daryl and Beth together in the second half of Season 4. They are now apart, but we’re guessing they’ll reunite in Season 5.

Yesterday, Scott Wilson took over TWD producer Gale Anne Hurd’s Valhalla Entertainment account, @valhallapics, for a fun Q&A with fans.

Tweeter Catherine Toast asked, “What would be Hershel's reaction if Beth hooked up with Daryl? ;)” Scott cheekily replied, "He would probably suggest Daryl take a bath because he's incredibly proud of being dirty." Ha! Well, there are worse things Hershel could say to reply...

It sounds like Scott believes Hershel would be A-OK with a Daryl and Beth falling in love. Claudia Rose asked, “I was wondering, how would Hershel feel if Beth and Daryl had a baby? was curious to know.” Scott replied, “He would be a proud Grandfather.” Hershel just wants those grandbabies, however he can get them!

Scott and Norman Reedus seem pretty close, and Scott may be living vicariously through TWD’s most popular heartthrob. Fan “mutant and proud” asked Scott, “Norman \@wwwbigbaldhead said once that he wants to be you when he grows up! Any tips how to become Scott Wilson?” Scott replied to both the fan and Norman’s account, “I would like to be Norman right now!” Yeah, who wouldn’t?

Read through Scott’s tweets for more. He’s a living legend — and his mom (a TWD fan herself) is turning 100 in May, so an early birthday blessing to her. It takes a legend to produce another one!

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
