Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time Ratings: Season 3, Episode 19 Rebounds From Series Low!

Once Upon a Time has been falling in the ratings for a while now, earning a new series low last week — no thanks to it being Easter Sunday. Season 3, Episode 19 (“A Curious Thing”) delivered not only a boost in the ratings, but it was chock-full of answers and enough action to split our heart in two. How great were the ratings?

According to Zap2it, the April 27th episode delivered a 2.2 rating in the key 18-49 demo and was watched by 7.34 million viewers. Just to compare, the April 20th episode only snagged a 1.7 in the ratings and was seen by just 5.69 million viewers. This is a great move in the right direction for the magical drama — we just hope it continues to gain traction with the Season 3 finale rapidly approaching.

Why were viewers so eager to watch this past week’s episode? It might have something to do with the arrival of another Oz character: Glinda (Sunny Mabrey). Not only did we get to see a new face, but we learned that it was Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) who were responsible for casting the new curse that sent everyone back to Storybrooke. Also worth noting? Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Henry (Jared Gilmore) had a very adorable reunion, breaking the memory curse for everyone in town.

Are you surprised that the ratings were great this week? Hit the comments and let us know!

Once Upon a Time airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
