Grey's Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy Season 10, Episode 22 Spoilers: What to Expect From “We Are Never Getting Back Together”

On Grey's Anatomy Season 10, Episode 22, "We Are Never Getting Back Together", Dr. Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington) is back as part of the show's farewell to Cristina (Sandra Oh). Yeah, it's kinda a huge freaking deal.

So, what can we expect when the man who once ripped out Cristina's heart comes back into her life? We've rounded up all of the biggest spoilers and sneak peeks about the episode right here.

The Official Synopsis

Let's start with the official synopsis of the episode:

Cristina (Sandra Oh) looks to Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) for advice as she assesses her future at the hospital. Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) work together on a difficult surgery involving conjoined twins. Meanwhile, Jo (Camilla Luddington) is spread too thin when she tries to work on several cases at once, and Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) realizes the truth about Bailey’s bubble boy case.

Cristina's Future

We're guessing that Cristina is not thrilled with the idea that she won't even be able to win the Harper Avery award if she stays at Grey Sloan Memorial. Though, as we see in this sneak peek, the docs are doing their best to change that.

As we see in this clip, Cristina's boss has left the hospital, probably because of the Harper Avery situation. The rest of the board wants Cristina to appeal her loss, apparently hoping to change the precedent. Will she go for it? And, for that matter, will she be offered her boss's old job?

Burke Is Back!

And he makes a very dramatic entrance, as we see in this sneak peek:

Based on the
promo for the episode, we know Burke makes Cristina some kind of offer. Is it romantic, professional, or some combo of both? The promo suggests it's romantic, but we're not convinced, especially since Isaiah Washington himself calls the return "cold-blooded."

How Are April and Jackson?

At the end of last week, April (Sarah Drew) dropped a major bomb on Jackson (Jesse Williams): she's pregnant. According to Sarah Drew, this news does not mean the couple will resolve their differences quickly. In fact, it’s exactly the opposite. They are still very much fighting by the end of this episode, and April is still not staying at home. Uh-oh...
