Adele — Adkins, not Dazeem — turns 26 today, May 5, but she's still maintaining a tie to 25 — possibly even focusing her third studio album around the quarterlife-marking year.
The Brit singer-songwriter celebrated the last day of 25-ness yesterday as one typically does — with a makeup-free selfie.
"Bye bye, 25," the barefaced songstress wrote on Twitter. "See you again later in the year."
Later in the year, eh? How exactly would someone revisit a past age?
Oh, right. The two albums so far — 19 and 21 — have both been named after the age she was when she penned the songs contained therein.
If she does release the presumably-titled 25 this year, will be her first new album in three years — and a new opportunity to add her collection of ten Grammys.
And her entire life has transformed in the intervening years since 2011's 21. She's going steady with her partner of two-plus years, Simon Konecki, and the two are raising their 18-month-old son, Angelo.
It'll be interesting to hear what music Happy Girlfriend and Mother Adele will produce!
And in the meantime, happy birthday to you, Adele. Go "set fire" to some b'day candles!
