Dancing With the Stars 2014: Who Will Go Home on Semifinals, Week 9?

Can you believe we're already at the Dancing With the Stars Season 18 Semifinals? In just a couple of weeks, all of these beautiful people will disappear from our TV sets. Sigh. It's sad. It’s also sad that one of the final five couples will have to leave on American Icons Week 9, which airs Monday, May 12.

This is going to be another weird elimination, thanks in part to Abby Lee Miller, who shall from here on out be blamed for everything, whether she was involved with it or not. We can’t really blame her for Danica McKellar and Valentin Chmerkovskiy leaving, since they were victims of the Week 7 scores. But it’s telling that James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd were on the bottom last week and survived, like Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas on the bottom the previous week.

It’s probable that Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy will also be saved from the bottom, since this season it’s been rare for anyone at the bottom to not be saved. That’s especially true when the scores are controversial. Love Drew Carey to death, but when he was at the bottom it wasn’t questioned as much as last week with James and Peta, and this week with Meryl and Maks.

So who will go home? Here’s the Week 8 scoreboard:

Amy & Derek — 40 + 39 = 79

Charlie & Sharna — 40 + 38 = 78

James & Peta — 36 + 39 = 75

Candace & Mark — 36 + 38 = 74

Meryl & Maks — 36 + 34 = 70

What in the world can we do with this? Last week we guessed Candace and Mark would leave, despite not being toward the bottom, and this week we’re going to have to do it again. Sorry! We don’t want anyone to go, but it just feels like the final four are going to be Amy, Charlie, James and Meryl. But maybe Candace’s fans will prove us wrong (again)!

What do you think? Who will go home on Week 9, and just miss out on the Finals? Vote in the poll below!

I'm worried for Meryl and Maks.
