David Morrissey (The Governor) was killed off The Walking Dead in the Season 4 midseason finale, and AMC passed on his subsequent project, the pilot for Line of Sight, a drama/sci-fi series that was set to star the British actor.
Now Deadline is reporting that David has retained new management courtesy of United Talent Agency. The site points out that TWD’s former villain recently wrapped the BBC1 series The Driver, which was penned by UTA-repped screenwriter Danny Brocklehurst. David was also a producer on the series.
In addition to his high-profile role on TWD, David has also had a wide variety of other television roles including stints on The Field Of Blood and Cape Wrath. He’s also appeared in several feature films such as Welcome To The Punch, The Reaping, and The Other Boleyn Girl. In the UK, David will continued to be repped by Silver Lining and Conor McCaughan at Troika.
David’s switch to UTA marks at least the third management swap over the course of the last several months for the TWD crew. David’s former co-stars Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) and Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) also recently signed with new talent agencies.
