We last saw them in Season 4, Episode 14, “The Grove,” heading back on the tracks to the presumed "sanctuary." But we don’t know how Pulp Fiction the editors may have gotten with the timing. For all we know, Carol, Ty, and baby Judith were ahead of the others. We just know that Ty was speculating in Ep 14 that they might be three or four days out from Terminus. But that was before they took their insta-family break (and all hell broke loose).
After the Season 4 finale, Robert Kirkman told TheWalkingDead.com, "People have reunited in that train car at the end, but Tyreese, Carol, and Judith are still out there. I think we’re gonna go in a pretty unexpected direction with that one.”
The “unexpected” part caught our attention — what could be unexpected? Some fans are discussing the Carol/Tyreese/Judith situation on Reddit, and theories remain all over the map. Some people think they are already at Terminus, returning to that powdered milk idea as if it’s a hint to Judith. Others think they will take a more cautious approach and scope the place out first. Carol watched the prison battle go down, maybe she and Ty managed to watch the Terminus fight happen. They could find Rick’s stash of weapons and try to help.
Or maybe they get delayed on the way to Terminus by more road drama. Carol’s group could even find Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) first, and they could join forces and do … something. Head to Terminus, perhaps, or hide out at their own shelter (Gabriel’s church?).
Do you think Carol and Tyreese are still on the tracks to Terminus, as we left them? Do you think they’ll arrive in Season 5 or will the show go a different route?
The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
