Two pairs earned perfect scores on Monday night, despite very different dances: Amy Purdy and Derek Hough, and Charlie White and Sharna Burgess. Amy's Argentine Tango was sharp and dramatic, though some fans complain that she spent too much time sitting down. Charlie's Quickstep was fast and energetic — a real return to form.
Meanwhile, Candace Cameron Bure had her second stellar week in a row thanks to a Foxtrot that played to her strengths and personality. James Maslow's posture didn't impress the judges, but did you like his classic Waltz? What about Danica McKellar and Val Chmerkovskiy's Tango? Sure, they were eliminated, but they definitely went out on a high note!
And, of course, there was Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy's controversial Rumba. It was emotional and passionate, but was it really a Rumba? Do you even care, or do you put more stock in performance value than exact technique?
Who do you think had the best dance of Week 8 — do you agree with the judges that Amy or Charlie ruled the night, or did you prefer someone else? Vote for your fave dance of the night in our poll, and then share your thoughts in the comments below!
