Bethenny Frankel is one busy mama.
Not only is the former Real Housewives of New York star sitting pretty at the top of her Skinnygirl empire, but she’s also writing her first children’s book, Cookie and Peanut, inspired by her four-year-old daughter Bryn. In other words, Bethenny Frankel has achieved the impossible: she’s a successful businesswoman, mogul, and mother. But make no mistake: raising Bryn is her no. 1 priority.
So for Mother’s Day, Bethenny and Bryn are planning a playful celebration, complete with brunching, ducklings, and matching pink outfits! “We will go to brunch, and then we’re going out to the country with some friends. We’re just going to play,” Bethenny told Wetpaint at her first annual Cinco De Mayo Party at La Cenita Steak in New York City. “We’ll probably feed the ducks. We’re just going to have a great, girly day. We’re both going to get very dressed up in matching pink, and I’m very excited.”
“I love [Mother’s Day]. It’s my favorite holiday,” Bethenny said. “Bryn was also born on May 8, and that year, Mother’s Day was the next day, so it was perfect. Her birthday is always right about Mother’s Day, so I’m very excited.”
During the Skinnygirl celebration, the former Bravolebrity’s family, friends and fans toasted to two new drinks from her Skinnygirl cocktail line, the Sweet’arita and Sparkling Margarita. And while none of her former Housewives co-stars were in attendance, we asked Bethenny if she’s been keeping up with the franchise.
“I watch Atlanta, and right now, Orange County is my favorite,” she said. “I watch it all a little bit. I’m not religious about it because I’d rather spend my time with Bryn, but I check in.”
As for whether she’d like to return to reality TV anytime soon, the former television personality says she’s enjoying her makeup-free life too much to go back in front of the cameras anytime soon.
“I’m not interested, right now, in reality television. I’m not. I’m really interested in being with my daughter, spending time doing yoga, not wearing makeup, and focusing on Skinnygirl and all of the amazing products we have coming out. And I’m really excited about my children’s book. So, no, reality TV is not something I’m thinking about right now.
