The Walking Dead Season 5 Filming at Terminus, “Torture” Screams Heard? (PHOTOS)
Sounds like Mary may be ringing the dinner bell! The Walking Dead Season 5 is now filming, and on May 8 fans updated with some action happening at the Terminus location in Atlanta.
The Spoiling Dead Fans's many members helpfully shared some on-set intel, including, “Chandler, Andrew, Norman, Lauren and Steven have all been seen on location so far at Terminus. Lots of screams, gunfire and some walkers. More as we get it.”
Chandler Riggs (Carl), Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Lauren Cohan (Maggie) and Steven Yeun (Glenn) are all part of the Terminus train car group. Later, they added that Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) and Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (Bob) were also spotted.
Screams we can understand, and perhaps gunfire too, but walkers? What are the walkers doing there? Are they just outside the fence, like the walkers who swarmed the prison? Maybe the producers want to make sure walkers stay a serious threat this season, unlike at some points in the past where the human drama overshadowed the zombie aspect of the zombie apocalypse.
Later, the site added, "Filming has moved inside. Loud screams were heard. Not shouting/arguing/pleading tones. These were described by multiple people as ‘torture’ or something that sounded extremely bad.”
"Torture," as having limbs cut off for eating (which would fit with the cannibal storyline of The Hunters in the comics), or some other kind of freaky offering to the Terminus gods or whatever? Or maybe Rick is already fighting back? It seems like that would be fast work, but ... we can hope!
David Morrissey (The Governor) once said it takes about eight days to shoot each TWD episode. Season 4 started filming on May 6 last year, and on May 16 Scott Gimple tweeted that they had wrapped the first ep. Season 5 filming started on May 5 for Season 5, so it should continue into next week.
