One of the biggest developments in the Season 3 finale of Once Upon a Time was the makeout session between Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) after they finally escaped the Enchanted Forest of the past. After their big adventure together, Hook revealed that he had given up the Jolly Roger in exchange for a magical bean so he could get to her in New York and bring her back to Storybrooke.
While it looks like they are finally together, will it last into Season 4? Thankfully TV Guide was wondering the same thing when they spoke with co-creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz after the epic finale. What did they have to say about Captain Swan’s chance at happiness?
“It would be a lot easier for me and Adam to just write Emma and Hook go out to dinner, then come home and decide whether or not to watch Orphan Black or catch up on Game of Thrones,” Eddy said. “It would be a great hour. We’re hoping there’s some drama and crisis next year.”
Enough with the kidding, we need to know how this relationship will pan out!
“What we saw in the finale was the beginning of something, which could go in many different ways and many different avenues down which they could go,” Adam teased. “It’s not like they’re going to suddenly order Chinese and watch Netflix. There’s going to be some challenges ahead and we’re going to have to show you some surprises about where the two of them go.”
Blerg, so no binge-watching for Emma and Hook — but it does seem like we’ll be seeing how they go forward in a relationship, which gives us hope they will make it out alive and together.
