Grey’s Anatomy might be saying goodnight to Season 10 tonight, but it’s no big deal. We already know Season 11 is a go. But this time around, there are going to be a few changes… and creator Shonda Rhimes wants to assure us that the content of the show isn’t one of them.
Since the show is moving to 8 p.m., it wouldn’t be unheard of if Shonda was asked to tone down the scripts a little to make them more family friendly. After all, the censors let you get away with more at 9 p.m. than they do an hour earlier, and we would hate to see Grey’s get watered down because of a timeslot move.
But as it turns out, we have nothing to worry about — Shonda’s got this.
“To those who ask: I have no intention of changing content of shows for time slot moves,” she tweeted May 14. “Next question.”
And of all the awesome stuff fans are concerned could disappear from the show because of the move, steamy Calzona scenes are a big one. This is where Jessica Capshaw (Arizona) comes in, because she, too, is promising us that nothing is changing except for the time we hit the couch to watch our favorite show.
“Crazy talk,” Jessica said.
Phew. We’re relieved to hear that when Grey’s returns, it’ll be the same show we’ve known and loved for the past decade… sexy scenes, storylines that push the envelope, and all.
What do you think about the move? Do you think anything will change about the show?
