On May 19, Coach Usher joined Josh Kaufman on stage for a rousing performance of “Every Breath You Take” by The Police. Usher decided to choose the song to duet with Josh as he vowed to watch over Josh’s musical career long after The Voice ended and a winner was chosen.

The two men hit the studio to record the emotionally-charged song and brought the “bromance” brewing between them to the stage where they performed that iconic rock ballad live. The two men strutted across the stage belting the powerful lyrics as a soft fog surrounded them. At the end of the performance both men embraced, and Usher borrowed Blake Shelton’s infamous pointing finger to tell fans who they should name The Voice.
