Is Bravo Developing a Real Housewives of Orange County Spin-Off?
Perhaps lightning can strike twice! Bravo execs are certainly hoping so — they’re looking around for a new spin-off for The Real Housewives of Orange County, and they’re hoping to replicate the success of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spin-off Vanderpump Rules.
"Bravo is seeking to anchor Monday nights better for RHOC next year with a comparable program, if not spin-off, that carries a So Cal vibe," LALATEreported on this week. "While Tamra Barney is not set to get a CUT Fitness spinoff just yet, LALATE can report that Bravo is seeking how to anchor Monday nights as a better programming block with a Laguna Beach like show."
There are so many options, and we can’t decide which we like more! Newcomer Lizzie Rovsek’s swimsuit company is one interesting choice that’s being tossed around, as is a look at Vicki Gunvalson’s business ventures (though those have a tendency to dip into the allegedly illegal).
Though a spin-off focused on Tamra’s business was actively denied by the source, it does seem like a great option. What could be better than a show about our favorite mommy dearest and the hotties with the bodies that work at her fitness center? Sounds like that’s just the “So Cal” vibe they’re looking for! The only question is: what’s the hold-up?
