This past Memorial Day weekend, Basketball Wives LA’s resident mean girl Sundy Carter was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence, as well as driving without a license. The reality star didn’t say much after being released from jail on Tuesday, May 27, but is now coming forward and taking “responsibility” for her actions.
“Drinking and driving is an extremely serious offense, and I take full responsibility for my lack of judgment on Monday night. I thank God that I did not harm anyone else or myself and the idea of what could’ve happened was definitely a wake up call for me.
Everyday I strive to become a better example for my family, friends and fans, the decision I made is far from one that I’m proud of. I vow to never make this mistake again and I truly apologize to those I have disappointed. I hope my lesson can serve as an example to others that it’s far more important to have a designated driver, being responsible is key- it can become the difference between life and death.”
Sundy was pulled over around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning after allegedly crossing the yellow line and driving westbound in the eastbound traffic lane in L.A. According to the Glendale Police Department, when they pulled Sundy over, she smelled of alcohol and slurred her words. When Sundy was asked to provide a breath sample, she blew an .18 percent, more than double the legal limit of .08.
The BBW star was released on a $10,000 bond, and scheduled to return to court today, Thursday, May 29 at 8:30 a.m. No word yet on the judge’s ruling over the case.
