With Big Brother 16 ready to kick off on June 25, we’re officially counting down the days until a new crop of houseguests enters the Big Brother house and begins to fight it out for $500,000. Before the 2014 season kicks off, let’s take a moment to remember which lucky person walked away with the big prize last year!
Big Brother 15 introduced a completely new cast, though it did feature Elissa Slater, younger sister of Big Brother veteran Rachel Reilly. Other than that, the rest of the crew was new to the game. Which newbie walked away with the prize money? That would be Andy Herren, a 26-year-old professor from Aurora, IL.
Going into his season, Andy described his strategy as wanting to establish “genuine relationships” so people would want to keep him around. It looks like playing nice guy and working his social game really paid off for him. Being able to balance friendships with stabbing people in the back is quite the task, so kudos to him for pulling it off!
Joining Andy in the Final 2 was GinaMarie Zimmerman, a 32-year-old pageant coordinator from Brooklyn, NY. Along with GinaMarie, fellow contestants Aaryn Gries and Spencer Clawson came under fire for racist remarks they made in the house. GinaMarie and Aaryn were both fired from their jobs while Spencer was slammed by his place of employment.
We’re ready for Big Brother 16 to kick off so we can see who plays the best game this summer! Who will it be? You’ll have to watch and find out!
Big Brother 16 premieres on June 25 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
