“The finale was on a Wednesday and by Friday, I was back in Kentucky for a rehearsal dinner, and I was married on Saturday. It was whirlwind week,” the 23-year-old says in the understatement of the week.
Despite all the pressures that kind of whirlwind might have stirred up, Jefra says she wasn’t a bridezilla. “I was pretty easy to please,” the former Miss Kentucky Teen USA tells the magazine. “All that mattered to me was that I was getting married.”
And married she is, to beau Jared Hines. The two wed in the chapel at Kentucky’s Campbellsville University in front of about 275 guests. Dinner at her aunt's farm followed the ceremony and featured fare much better than the basics Jefra ate on Survivor. The menu included delicious dishes like spinach-stuffed pork, Hawaiian chicken, and mashed potatoes.
While nervous at the start of the big day, Jefra says that once she saw her beloved she knew everything was going to be OK. “I knew that everything was going to be perfect. And it was.”
