Lil Scrappy’s relationships with girlfriend Bambi and “friend” Erica “Pinky” Pinkett have been getting a lot of attention on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3 and the fights between the two have been rocking our TV screens. But guys, it looks like we’re the only ones taking everything in, as Scrappy has admitted that he doesn’t like watching himself on TV!
In a recent interview on a local Atlanta radio station 107.9, Lil’ Scrappy was questioned about the latest episode of the hit reality show, in which his mother, Momma Dee, was in the center of a showdown between Bambi and Pinky. Unfortunately, Scrap couldn’t give too much insight, since he hadn’t watched.
“I’ve seen the first and second [episode],” he said, adding, “and that’s enough for me.”
As the conversation went on, Scrappy was asked if he was at least used to being in front of the camera, even if he couldn’t watch himself. His response?
“I’m never used to it. That’s why I don’t like watching it,” he said, explaining “because I turn up so much, man. I be me, and everybody don’t like me. Everybody don’t like the stuff that I do, so … you have to sit there and take criticism for the life that you’re living and that God blessed you with, you feel me. And it’s my fault, ‘cause I signed up for a TV show that’s giving people gifts to look at me.”
Sounds like Scrappy isn’t too keen about being in the public eye via the small screen.
“You get a check, but your heart’s gonna get a check too, ‘cause it’s frustrating,” he said. But don’t feel too bad for Scrap, since he said at the end of the day, his check is “definitely worth it.”
What do you think of Lil Scrappy’s decision to not watch the show out of frustration? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below!
