Camille Grammer Shares Heartbreaking Photo of Her Post-Cancer Surgery
Camille Grammer, formerly of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, took to Twitter on Friday to share an intimate and devastating photo with her fans. The star posted a photo of herself wrapped in blankets, asleep, a nasal cannula pressed into her nostrils. “Me the night after my 5hr radical hysterectomy,” the reality star wrote. “My dad took the pic & said I looked like a nun. #awareness #Cancer.”
The 45-year-old reality star had her surgery last October, after being diagnosed with endometrial cancer. The star underwent chemotherapy and radiation in addition to the surgery, but somehow stayed strong throughout the whole ordeal. How did she keep her spirits up? “Thinking about your kids and having a positive attitude,” she shared on Watch What Happens Live. “I kept thinking, 'I have to do this for my children and be there for them.’”
Camille tweeted this photo on the heels of another legal battle with ex-boyfriend Dimitri Charalambopoulos, who has accused the blonde beauty of fabricating assault claims. Camille had alleged that Dimitri beat her in a Houston hotel room, but it was ruled that there was not enough evidence to convict. Despite this, Camille was granted a three-year restraining order in January. Camille’s lawyers aren’t too worried about the lawsuit, however. In a statement to TMZ, they said, “We are delighted that he filed a lawsuit because we are already in the process of filing a civil lawsuit against him to pay for the damage he has caused. We look forward to court, where we will introduce forensic evidence clearly establishing his liability. It is surprising that someone who committed an assault would actually sue the victim.”
