It might sound hard to imagine anything cuter than Channing Tatum, but it exists: Channing Tatum changing a diaper. And now that the 22 Jump Street star is gearing up for his second Father’s Day as a proud dad, he can say he’s a card carrying diaper changing pro.
“I’m solid at changing a diaper now,” Channing told People. “If a guy isn’t good at changing a diaper, I don’t know what he’s there for, really, ‘cause they’re not there for the first seven months for any other reason than to do that because the mom is the end-all, be-all of everything.”
Channing and his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, welcomed their baby (a daughter named Everly) in 2013, and last week, she turned one. We can’t believe how big she’s gotten! And considering how truly gorgeous her parents are, it’s no surprise how beautiful she already is.
And although Channing is now the master of diaper changing, it doesn’t mean that everything else about being a dad is easy. There’s a learning curve, and Channing’s right in the middle of it.
“There’s always mishaps,” Channing admitted. “The whole day is just a big old mishap, but I find it really fun. It’s always a different thing every day.”
In the past, Jenna has raved about Channing’s parenting skills, and we suspect he’ll only get better as Everly gets older. He’ll be embarrassing her in front of her friends and scaring away potential dates in no time — especially since he plans to be around her as much as possible.
“I want to slow down and don’t want to miss my child’s first 10 years of her life,” the Magic Mike star said. “So it’s going to be nice to spend more time with the family.”
