Stop the presses, y’all. Prince George is well on his way to the throne (sort of), all thanks to the recent milestone he reached at just 11 months! Kate Middleton revealed her little prince is now standing on his own two feet and walking. That’s right; no more crawling for this dashing boy. He’s ready to roam Kensington Palace!
In fact, the proud momma is so thrilled with George’s latest achievement that she’s already looking forward to the day he learns to sail! Kate recently visited the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London, where she was accompanied by four-time Olympic gold medalist sailor Sir Ben Ainslie.
During the visit, Sir Ben offered to take both Kate and little Georgie sailing on the Optimist dinghy, a vessel where kids as young as 6 can be taught to navigate the waves!
“The Duchess was very keen but not for a couple of years yet — when he's about 7 or 8," Sir Ben Ainslie tells Express. "But we'd love to get the Duchess sailing sooner. She's very keen and of course we'd love to get her out on the water; she doesn't get to do it much now."
Kate actually worked as a deckhand when she a student so we’re sure that with both Kate and Sir Ben’s skills, Prince George will pick up sailing in no time!
“She's from a sailing family and she loves sailing," Sir Ben adds. "You can just tell she's always been keen on it and her face just lights up when she's talking about it."
We can see it now: The royal family embarking on a sailing trip together, full of maritime cheer and clad in their nautical gear. Doesn’t that sound like perfection? We say, yes.
