“Very excited to be directing a PSA for - Check out the site and stay tuned for Immigrant Heritage Month this June,” Paul tweeted last month. The actor, who changed his surname from Wasilewski to Wesley for acting, has a strong connection to his Polish heritage. Up until the age of 16, he spent four months of every year in Poland and still speaks Polish fluently. He told “My grandparents live in Warsaw and I visit them often. I’m very proud of my heritage.” He is funnelling that pride into this PSA, and even traveled to Poland to interview his grandfather for the short.

“Interviewing my grandfather in his living room in Warsaw for my PSA,” Paul captioned an Instagram photo of his adorable grandfather sitting in an arm chair in what we assume is his house, camera equipment surrounding him. Paul has also shared other photos from his trip to Europe, including a snapshot with his nephew Henry and the view of the lovely city from his window. It’s very cool to see Paul’s family heritage and his vocation combining in such interesting ways. We can’t wait to see the finished product!
