In Game of Thrones Season 4, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) lost a lot. He lost his former lover Ygritte. He lost two of his best friends in Pyp and Grenn. And it looks like he may have lost the leadership role he was growing into with Stannis arriving at the Wall. So it doesn’t seem like he has much left to lose in Season 5, except his own life.
So, will Jon die in Season 5?

Believe it or not, there's a strong chance that Jon dies next season. Or at least appears to die, we’re not really sure.
In the books, Jon becomes Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. His tenure is a difficult one, however. Stannis is at the Wall challenging his decisions, there are thousands of Wildlings and nowhere to put them — it's tough.
Jon eventually negotiates with Stannis to settle the Wildlings in the uninhabited land south of the Wall. This incenses the rest of the Night’s Watch, but they hold their tongues. That is until Jon receives a letter from Ramsay Snow in Winterfell — whom Jon believes has just married Arya — insulting him.
Jon wants to reclaim his homeland and oust Ramsay, despite his vows not to become involved in political matters of the kingdom, and several of his brothers stab him as a result. When we last see Jon in the books, he has just been stabbed, and it’s unclear whether he lives or dies.
Unless the show decides to really stretch out this plotline, we’re guessing the show ends Season 5 with Jon's stabbing and an unclear resolution.
That said, we’re betting that he lives, both in the books and on the show. That, or he dies but gets resurrected. After all, the mystery of his parents has not yet been revealed, and his arc really seems destined for greatness, so we’re betting on seeing Jon (or at least some version of Jon) in Season 6.
