Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 vs. Manzo’d With Children — Which Show Looks Better?

Not all Real Housewives of New Jersey fans are the same. Some tune in for the table-flipping drama, while others have grown fond of the families themselves. And some like a balance of both. It’ll be interesting to see how fans react to the two choices Bravo is offering this summer and fall — RHONJ Season 6, which premieres on July 13, and the spinoff coming this fall, Mazo’d With Children.

Caroline Manzo will not be on RHONJ this season, but her family will be featured in the spinoff, along with fellow alum Jacqueline Laurita, who will be on TV part-time. They’ve said it’s going to be a fun, upbeat show, and we’re expecting at least some focus on Caroline’s daughter, Lauren Manzo, getting engaged and planning her wedding.

Meanwhile, RHONJ will feature Caroline’s estranged sister, Dina Manzo, who hasn’t been in the RH cast since Season 2. Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga are the only returning H’wives, and the show will follow a lot of Teresa’s legal drama, which includes T and Juicy Joe pleading guilty to multiple fraud charges. There are also three new H’wives, Amber Marchese, Teresa Aprea, and Nicole Mauriello.

If you’re interested in rubber-necking at the Giudice car crash, RHONJ is the show for you. It’s also good for the usual feuding drama and hair-pulling, and to see occasional appearances from Kathy Wakile and her sister Rosie. Manzo’d, on the other hand, has the rest of the family in something meant to be less dramatic. To some fans, that sounds refreshing. To others, it may sound boring.

Where do you stand? Will you watch both shows this year, or just pick one? Which show looks better to you?

Catch the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 premiere on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. Manzo’d With Children will premiere this fall.
