Lauren Conrad Leaves Her Own Bachelorette Party After Homophobic Joke (PHOTO)
Lauren Conrad's wedding is fast approaching, as the Hills and Laguna Beach star celebrated her bachelorette party this weekend. But sadly, the festivities were not all fun and games.
LC headed to Mexico this weekend for her bachelorette party, in anticipation of her upcoming nuptials to fiance William Tell. Several of Lauren's friends accompanied her, including Hills co-star Lo Bosworth.
Lo posted a photo (at left) to Instagram on June 21 of the group painting the town red. "Last night #donttellmrtell," Lo jokingly captioned the photo. In the pic, Lauren is wearing a hilariously oversized bow in her hair.
However, things took a tense turn when Lauren stormed out of her own bachelorette party. The DJ at The Office restaurant in Cabo had apparently made an insensitive joke about women playing a game in which they try to pop a balloon with each other's bodies.
"The Office in Cabo does not allow same sex couples to participate in couple games. Had to walk out. #equality #StopTheHate," Lauren tweeted about the incident. The restaurant's manager apologized for the DJ's comment and called the incident a "huge misunderstanding."
Lauren and William, who recently graduated from law school and used to play with the band Something Corporate, have been dating since 2012. We wish them the best as they plan for their wedding!
Are you impressed that Lauren left her party after the insensitive joke?
