Even though they're all up in that showbiz world, TV stars still fangirl out about their favorite shows — and Grey's Anatomy star Sarah Drew is no exception. The actress behind April Kepner just revealed her favorite show… other than Grey's, naturally.
We'll give you a hint: She can really relate to the topic.
As the 33-year-old tells WorldLifestyle, she's a huge fan of Parenthood.
"The acting is superb, and the writing is, as well," she explains. "I feel like I know these people. These marriages deal with deeply real and relatable issues."
And her passion for the show comes from its authenticity: "The show celebrates the normal, everyday things of life. There doesn't have to be a massive affair to create conflict in a marriage. It can just be two people disconnecting and not feeling supported by one another.
Sarah also appreciates that the "hero moments" don't need to be epic to be extraordinary — they can just be everyday acts of kindness.
Her choice makes sense — she and her husband of 12 years, Peter Lanfer, have a 2-year-old son, Micah.
"I finish every episode more grateful for my family than I was before," she says. "Love it!"
Grey's Anatomy Season 11 airs this fall.
