Get ready to have tons of hair envy for this brand new Big Brother 16 contestant. Joey Van Pelt is a 27-year-old makeup artist and hairstylist from Seattle, Washington who will be moving into the Big Brother house in hopes of walking away with the $500K at the end of the summer. Want to get to know her better? Read on!
If you’re looking for someone to keep you entertained all summer, look no further! When asked what the hardest thing about being secluded from the rest of the world will be, Joey had a hilarious answer: “Not being able to poop because there are men in the house,” her CBS bio reads. “I guess I won’t be pooping for 3 months.” TMI, but still pretty great.
This adventurous, fun-loving gal does seem to hit a bit of a wall when it comes to having a strategy for how she’ll beat her 15 competitors in the end. In fact, in lieu of actually revealing a strategy she just described the way she wants to play the game, saying she wants to “be the nicest person to ever win the show.”
Hmm, when it comes to Big Brother, playing nice isn’t usually one of the traits of the winners — besides Jordan Lloyd, of course — but we definitely respect Joey’s idealistic hopes for the game. Perhaps she’ll be able to play such a clean game and make all of the right moves that she’ll be able to take away the big prize, but it doesn't seem very likely. Her life motto, after all, is “go big or go home.”
Just to further show you that Joey will have an excellent social game, the lady was her high school’s mascot, homecoming queen, and senior class president. Her extremely liberal views and general likability should make her super friendly to the other houseguests — that is, of course, if her wacky hair color doesn’t drive them away!
