Will Andi Dorfman Compete on Dancing With the Stars? (UPDATE)
It’s been almost two months to the day since we first reported the possibility that our Atlanta belle Andi Dorfman would appear on Dancing With the Stars, but the rumor still lives on! The official casting notice will go up next week, but TMZ is reporting now that the Bachelorette is still in talks for the gig — alongside quite an eclectic crew.
Now, all of this is still gossip until next week, but we have to admit we’re surprised that Andi’s name hasn’t dropped off the list. Just a few weeks back during a post-Bachelorette finale interview, the 27-year-old denied the buzz quipping, “Girl, have you seen me dance? I would not be cute dancer.” Plus, she maintained that “once the dust settles” from their press tour, she would be returning to her role as a lawyer. So what gives?
Guess we'll have to wait and see!

Original story (6/26/14):
When it comes to ranking the awkward moments between Andi Dorfman and Juan Pablo Galavis on his Bachelor Season 18 season, that tense “ees OK”-filled chat in St. Lucia definitely takes the cake. But in close second? That would be Andi trying to keep up with the dance floor Don Juan on their 1-on-1 date. And now we’re hearing that the current Bachelorette might be competing on Dancing With the Stars Season 19, we’re getting serious PTSD. Say it isn’t so!
According the Hollywood Life insiders, the 27-year-old lawyer may be going the way of Bachelor Nation’s Sean Lowe, Melissa Rycroft, and Jake Pavelka by trying to nab the mirror ball trophy next season. Plus, they claim that not only will Andi be bringing her two left legs to the ABC reality competition, but she may be joined by her Season 10 winner (and fiancé) Josh Murray!
“She’s been asked and is also preparing to do the next season of the show,” a source tells the site about the Atlantan beauty, adding that “there has been talk that she is going to do it with her man. They will compete against each other along with the other stars.”
If this seems odd, bear in mind that just last season saw Olympic skating pair Meryl Davis and Charlie White split up in the competition — and Meryl even took the whole thing home! Something tells us, however, that Andi’s going to have a much higher hill to climb than her figure skating predecessor did. And jury’s still out on Josh’s moves, but perhaps his athletic background might serve him well?
Aside from their dance skills, we’re really curious to see if the new couple decides to make such a drastic life change post-Bachelorette. Sure, it worked for Sean and Catherine Giudici, but he was the only one participating, so there was likely more time spent together. If they do decide to take the plunge, hopefully they’ll still be able to carve out the time for a little romance!
