Hart of Dixie Star Gets Married — In Madonna’s Wedding Tiara!
What better way to kick off the holiday weekend than with a wedding! Hart of Dixie star Brandi Burkhardt has married her jeweler beau Douglas Kazanjian, her rep tells Us Weekly.
The two wed last Sunday, June 29, on the Annapolis Marriott Waterfront in front of family, friends, and a few of Brandi’s Hart of Dixie costars. Who actually made the guest list, the rep isn’t saying, but we’d guess series star Rachel Bilson if her growing baby bump allowed!
Thirty-five-year-old Brandi, who plays Crickett on the CW series, wore a white cap-sleeve gown complete with tulle, lace, and an intricate floral pattern around the neckline. Her bridesmaids, meanwhile, looked pretty in pink accessorized with pearls for that special bridal touch.
The jewelry didn’t stop there. Douglas comes from a family best-known for owning the 5.05-carat red diamond known simply as the Kazanjian Red Diamond; it’s currently on display at the American Museum of Natural History. With those kind of family jewels, is it any surprise his bride would be gloriously bedecked for her special day?
Brandi’s crowing accessory might actually look a bit familiar. Her rep tells Us the actress wore the same tiara Madonna donned for her 2000 nuptials to Guy Ritchie. That be a 1910 Edwardian piece with 765 diamonds, or an astounding 78 carats.
