Jessica Alba Opens Up About Her Childhood: I Was “Really, Really Sick” (VIDEO)
If the Fourth of July didn’t already have you feeling patriotic, Jessica Alba’s latest project sure will! The mother of two and co-founder of The Honest Company treated a bunch of military moms to a sweet surprise in San Diego: She threw them an A-list baby shower!
Before we get into all the red, white, and blue details, first let’s hear from Jessica herself. The 33-year-old actress tells Entertainment Tonight all about her childhood in a military family and how she was actually “really, really sick” when she was a kid.
“My mom was with me a lot, and it was tough on the family because my mom had to spend a lot of nights in a cot next to my bed in the hospital,” Jessica says. What had Jess so sick? First chronic asthma and allergies and later surgeries on her kidneys, tonsils, and appendix.
But those bad days are far behind Jessica, who has two healthy little girls at home with her husband, Cash Warren. To give thanks for all she has and to recognize her own father’s service in the Air Force, Jessica decided to throw a little shindig for military moms.
