Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul Get Engaged in the Bachelor in Paradise Finale! (VIDEO)
So remember how we found out a while ago that Bachelor in Paradise producers were reportedly angling for a finale proposal? Things didn’t work out with Chris Bukowski and Elise Mosca (who do reportedly make a brief appearance in the final ep), but apparently they found another one of the show's cuddly couples to get engaged on-camera: Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul!
Us Weekly's own sources confirmed the engagement way back on July 24, though we didn't know for sure until this evening. And while that may seem soon after Andi ended things with Marcus, we guess the Dorf wasn’t that hard to get over in the end — even if Marcus made it seem that way during July 21's "Men Tell All" special.
Lacy added fuel to our wild speculation fire earlier today, sending out a pretty telling tweet that read, “The meaning of yopo changes for me tonight. Find out why on the finale of #bachelorinparadise.” For those not obsessed like we are, “yopo” means “you only Paradise once.” So does the meaning change to “you only get engaged in Paradise once” for Lacy?
We have to admit we’re not that shocked that the impromptu proposer was Marcus. The 26-year-old was the first of Andi’s guys to drop the L-bomb — by a clear mile, actually. So not only was he pretty open with his feelings, he certainly seemed ready for a serious commitment. Sadly, the Dorf didn't feel the same way, and sent him packing during Hometown Dates.
But it looks like he finally found that commitment in nurse Lacy, also 26, who was eliminated far too early on Bachelor 18 — like first episode early. In fact, Marcus even dropped the L-bomb on her in Episode 5 of BiP, before she returned the sentiments in Episode 6. That was fast! At least this time the feelings were fully reciprocated.
