Sharknado 2: The Second One Trailer Bites The Big Apple — “Holy Shark!” (VIDEO)
After 2013's Sharknado established itself in the zeitgeist as this generation's quintessential cinematic masterpiece, Syfy understandably wanted to sink its teeth into a sequel.
Fast forward a year, and we finally have the first full-length trailer for Sharknado 2: The Second One, thanks to Fandango.
Ian Ziering and Tara Reid reprise their roles as Fin and April — and rest of the all-star cast includes Vivica A. Fox, Mark McGrath, Judd Hirsch, Andy Dick, Billy Ray Cyrus, Judah Friedlander, Kelly Osbourne, Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Perez Hilton, and Jared "The Subway Guy" Fogle.
But this time, the action moves to New York City — which means Fin battles a shark in a subway car and then bats a shark into a pizza oven, flaming sharks rain down in Midtown, and the Statue of Liberty's dismembered head crushes a hapless soul.
Perhaps the best moment of the trailer is this rousing speech from Fin: "They're sharks. They're scary. No one wants to get eaten. But I've been eaten, and I'm here to tell you, it takes a lot more than that to bring a good man down. A lot more than that to take a New Yorker down!"
Sharknado 2: The Second One airs Wednesday, July 26, at 9 p.m. ET on Syfy.
