Pawn Stars Major Weight Loss: Corey Lost 192 Pounds, Chumlee Almost 100! (VIDEO)
History's Pawn Stars are shrinking!
Corey Harrison recently talked to People about his major weight loss, from a height of 402 lbs. to his current weight of 210, over the past four years. His success inspired fellow reality star Austin "Chumlee" Russell to lose weight too.
Corey, 31, told People his doctor put him on preventative diabetes medication back in 2010, and that prompted him to immediately head for lap band surgery. "Back then, the surgery was too expensive for my bank account, so I had to pay with four credit cards, but it was something I had to do – I was not going to get diabetes!"
Corey told People he lost 50 pounds in the first six weeks after surgery, then dropped another 100 pounds within the first year.
It was a full lifestyle wake-up call, making him take a look at what he ate, how he ate, and what he did to himself. He said he's now excited to go to the gym and boxes 12 rounds a day, five days a week. He used to love snowboarding, but dropped it when he got too big. Now he can snowboard again.
Chumlee, 31, also decided it was a good time for him to get healthy too. "I started at 320 lbs. and now I'm down to 225," he told People. "When I first began, I eliminated all processed foods except mustard. Now, 'everything in moderation' is my motto."
