Big Brother 16: Devin or Caleb — Who Should Go Home Week 3? (POLL)
Warning: Spoilers ahead from the Big Brother 16, Week 3 live feeds!
If only this were a double elimination week on Big Brother 16. Two alpha males are on the block in Week 3: Devin Shepherd and Caleb Reynolds. They started as the heads of the Bomb Squad alliance, and now one of them will be evicted on the Thursday, July 17 live show.
Who should go home? Vote in the poll below to share your thoughts, but at this point, the Houseguests should be dying to dump both major threats.
Devin is the obvious target, and the safest choice. He is the one Head of Household Derrick Levasseur put in position to be back-doored. So far so good, but will the house go through with it?
Devin should not be trusted, but these HGs don’t need to be told that. Keeping Devin to Week 4 would not signal an endorsement or future alliance plan. He’s radioactive. But he can probably be used as an easy target at any point, since — as long as he isn’t HOH — he’s an easy kill. What happens if he is HOH after this? Well, he’d most likely play it safe, knowing what happened last time he was HOH. But he'd probably go after major players (Derrick, Frankie, Zach, Christine?), not anyone who voted to keep him. He also most likely wouldn't repeat the same promise/change mind/promise/change mind dance he's been doing the past two weeks.
On the other side, what happens when Caleb is HOH next? He’s tame now that he’s in “hero” mode, but what happens when he’s a bucking bronco, as he would be when he’s made an obvious target instead of blindsided? The HGs may not get this chance again. Strike now, or forever hold your breath for a giant outburst.
Caleb has already made it PAINFULLY clear that he will never let his “queen” be in danger, which gives Amber Borzotra a huge amount of power, even if the poor woman has tried to make it clear she’s just not that into him. Anyone who even suggests going after Amber or Caleb is going to get his “beast mode.” He volunteered to go on the block this week to save her, and was upset when he felt she didn’t sufficiently appreciate it. He’s like a teenager — he’s deeply in love, then gets mad and says he doesn’t care about her anymore, she can fend for herself, then two seconds later he’s moaning on about wanting to go on a date with her, and why doesn’t she feel the same? That kind of emotional gameplay is too erratic and unpredictable.
If the HGs vote for Devin, Derrick will have no blood on his hands and everything will be drama free. Devin is expecting to leave, even if he’s hoping for a miracle so he can keep playing hard for his daughter. (Never forget: #devinhasadaughter) But if Caleb leaves, it’s a whole new ballgame. The Bomb Squad would truly blow up, the power might shift and things would get really interesting.
