Nicki Minaj Calls Chrissy Teigen’s Butt “Acceptable,” Chrissy Responds, Nicki Fans Attack

A bizarre chain reaction played out on social media yesterday (July 24) as hot-tempered Twitter users misconstrued Chrissy Teigen's joke as a slight against Nicki Minaj.

It all started when Nicki posted the cover art for her single "Anaconda," which features her showing off 99 percent of her butt in a G-string.

Apparently, the Pink Print rapper got a lot of flack about the revealing pic — because she posted a series of photos in which smaller-bootied models show off the same assets, deeming each one "acceptable" in her captions, seemingly trying to to expose a double standard.

One of these photos was Chrissy's Sports Illustrated cover.

"I WILL TAKE ACCEPTABLE," Chrissy tweeted, quoting Nicki’s original message.

Twitter users then revolted, calling Chrissy a "bish" and a "bum hoe" and "built like a boy" in posts which Mrs. John Legend then retweeted.

"I just landed, and I have Nicki Minaj fans going absolutely bats—t on me," she wrote. "No idea why … Landed, saw she posted our cover, called our asses acceptable. Which I took as a compliment, as I know I have no ass."

She continued: "No one is 'dragging' anyone. Can twitter have an age limit? … I don't give one single f—k either way. You kids need the drama then go ahead … You kids are so angry on summer break. Damn, we need a full school year."

For her part, Nicki has had no comment.
