Pretty Little Liars IRL?! Creepy Dolls Resembling Young Girls Places Outside Their Homes
Some of the creepiest storylines in Pretty Little Liarshistory involve dolls, including some “A”-delivered ones that happen to look exactly like the Liars. Now, life seems to be imitating art in a California neighborhood where a handful of families have had dolls resembling their young daughters left on their doorsteps. We get a chill just thinking about it!
According to KTLA, eight homes in a San Clemente gated community have found porcelain dolls in front of their homes that bear some resemblance to their daughters, all of whom attend the same elementary school and are around 10 years old. Unlike Pretty Little Liars, however, the dolls seem to have been placed there as a gesture of “goodwill,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Department announced in a tweet last night. Phew! Glad to know there isn’t a real-life “A” at work here.
In actuality, it seems that the “A” in question was actually an older woman who attends church with many of the girls and who wanted to leave the dolls as gifts. It probably says a lot about our society as a whole that our knee-jerk reaction to dolls being anonymously gifted is one of paranoid, all-out terror. What can we say? Have you seen that creeptastic doll hospital from PLL?! We’re ruined on dolls for life.
