"They are together and we will be exploring more of that," Michael Cudlitz told USA Today at Comic-Con, but he didn’t quite define the characters' relationship as “love.” As he put it, "I don't know what love looks like in an post-apocalyptic world. So ... maybe." It looks like Gleggie, sir!
Comic book writer/executive producer Robert Kirkman recently told AMC, "There are a couple of characters in particular coming up in Season 5 that will get very big chunks of their backstory revealed in a very cool way. Some of that is from the comic and, like always, some of it is not."
It seems like a safe bet that the Washington, D.C. mission trio will have some backstory shared, presumably after they get out of Terminus and work with Rick Grimes’s (Andrew Lincoln) group on what to do next. Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt) said he had answers on a cure, and the Comic-Con trailer suggests that knowledge will be put to the test. The trailer also shows Abraham falling to the ground for a dramatic cry. What could lead him to fall apart like that — a mission failure, or perhaps losing a loved one (like Rosita)? Or maybe that’s part of his own backstory?
Are you glad we’ll be seeing more of the Abraham/Rosita relationship in Season 5?
The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres Sunday, October 12 on AMC.
