Sharknado Star Tara Reid Debuts Perfume, “Shark By Tara” — Would You Try It? (VIDEO)

We're gonna need a bigger boat bottle!

American Pie alum Tara Reid has had something of a career resurgence starring opposite Ian Ziering in Syfy's Sharknado, and the recent record-setting sequel, Sharknado 2: The Second One. So she's maximizing the moment with a shark-themed perfume. Obviously, right?

"Shark By Tara" is now selling on Tara's website for an introductory price of $24.95. Here's the product description:

"Shark by Tara is a light and refreshing perfume perfect for day-to-day wear. It also incorporates a plethora of 'lavender' colored flowers, which is Tara’s favorite color, making them a true fit for Shark by Tara.

Shark by Tara perfume is a complex scent with three different levels of notes that embrace our fresh, light, and fun feel. Our top-level note is clad with iced mint, violet and lemon, while our middle note is complete with jasmine, tuberose and muguet. The last dry node is cool blue rose, amber and musk."

That is pretty sophisticated for such a knowingly unsophisticated franchise. (It should probably just smell like blood and fish, since that's what sharks like.) But it's been a successful franchise, so far, so why not create a perfume with a cute little fin on it?

Sharknado's sequel set a record as Syfy's most watched original movie ever, with 3.9 million viewers. According to TV Guide, The Second One was up 190 percent from the original in the all-important 18-49 demographic. The movie also got around 1 billion Twitter impressions, which is even more than the Breaking Bad finale. Yes, this is the world we live in.

Syfy has also ordered a third Sharknado movie, so this franchise is far from dead in the water.

Check out more perfume details on Tara's site. Would you try it, or are you already swimming away?
