What’s It Like Working With Kim Zolciak? Solo Cups, Selfies, and More! (VIDEO)
Ever wonder what it’s like to work for Kim Zolciak? For the (lucky?) group of guys and gals who work on Kim’s Real Housewives of Atlanta spin-off, Don’t Be Tardy, filming the mom of six and her ever-growing family for months at a time is a very interesting experience loaded with Solo cups, selfies, and much more!
BravoTV.com turned the cameras around in a recent video clip, and asked the DBT production staff what it’s like to work for the wiged wonder. Apparently, it’s a lot of waiting on Mrs. Biermann. “When we work 12 hours in a day we’re waiting 11.5 hours,” a producer named Rajah spills. “We shoot about 30 minutes.”
So what does the crew do during all that time when they’re not shooting Kim? According to Rajah, they “hang out with kids” and nanny Lana.
Once Kim is ready to film, that’s when she takes out her cellphone and attempts to take a good selfie. It’s clear this crew has spent plenty of time around our Kimmie, because their impressions of her selfie face are spot-on. In addition to selfies, Kim also loves Solo cups. “If you see Kim you see a Solo cup,” Rajah explains.
Lastly, over the past three seasons of filming, the DBT crew has also noticed that Kim doesn’t quite understand air quotes. As two staffers explain, “Whenever Kim uses air quotes in an interview, she quotes them towards herself.” Camera operator Theresa sums it up best when she playfully concludes, “It;s all about Kim. It’s Kim’s world and we’re just living in it.”
