Pretty Little Liars

Who Is “A”? Our Top 3 Suspects From Pretty Little Liars Season 5, Episode 11

We're one episode away from the Pretty Little Liars Season 5 summer season, but are we any closer to figuring out who "A" is? Season 5, Episode 11 (“No One Here Can Love or Understand Me”) gave us some more clues, so let's look at the top three people we're suspecting right now.

Alison DiLaurentis

Why she might be "A": Who has more motivation to keep the Liars from going to the cops than Alison (Sasha Pieterse)? Almost everything "A" has done this season seems to play to Ali's advantage. First, "A" scared the Liars into sticking by Ali's side; once that stopped working, "A" scared them off from the cops. We certainly wouldn't put being "A" past Ali after everything else she's done.

Why she might not be "A": If she's "A,” who is she running from? Was there a different, original "A," and now she's taken over the role? Is this too obvious at this point?

Jenna Marshall

Why she might be "A": Sure, Jenna (Tammin Sursok) wasn't really around last night, but maybe that's because she was busy doing "A" things. She remains the person with the most motivation to hurt the Liars and Ali, and we continue to think she's smart enough to pull it off. Plus, might she have something to do with Bethany Young's death? She certainly knows a thing or two about dressing a body double up, as we saw when she and Sydney were practically twins recently...

Why she might not be "A": Sometimes, she seems as scared as the Liars. Is that only because she's intimidated by Ali, or is "A" after her, too?

Ezra Fitz

Why he might be "A": This is probably a long shot at this point, but we couldn't help but notice that the show reminded us of Ezra's (Ian Harding) skills tracking down video footage in the same episode where "A"'s biggest move (if it was "A") was to dig up some old footage of Ali at the hospital with Hanna. Coincidence?

Why he might not be "A": We've already been down this rabbit hole, and came out the other side with an alternate explanation. Would the writers really fake us out this much?
