Guys, it looks like Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3 newbie Yung Joc is a free man. Well, sort of. Remember when TMZ reported that the “It’s Going Down” rapper, whose legal name is Jasiel Robinson, was still legally bound to his high school sweetheart wife? According to The Jasmine Brand, his marriage is officially a thing of the past.
Back in July, TMZ broke the news that while we were watching Joc smooching with Karlie Redd on the latest season of the VH1 reality show, he was still in fact married to his wife of 13 years, Alexandria Robinson. It appears that the two were estranged, and after finally seeing her ex on television, Alexandria finally decided to put in the paperwork to make the split official.
The Jasmine Brand recently obtained docs stating that the two had been separated since the beginning of 2012 on the grounds of Joc’s infidelity, and that Alexandria had demanded spousal and child support. On August 13, 2014, both Alexandia and Joc came to an agreement on child support and spousal support payments and by August 15, the divorce was finalized by a Georgia court.
So what’s next, Joc? Well, we expect him to carry on dating his new lady love, Khadiyah, who was introduced as his woman on the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3 Reunion Show Part 1. Though now ex Karlie claims that Khadiyah was the “side chick” in their relationship, Joc appears to think otherwise.
Catch more Yung Joc on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3 Reunion Show Part 2 on Monday, September 1 at 8 p.m. ET on VH1.
