The Walking Dead Season 5 Premiere Sneak Peek: Walkers Close in on Tyreese (VIDEO)
We never thought we’d say this, but maybe Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and company are lucky that they’re locked inside that train car at Terminus. Sure, they’re basically trapped in a dark box with nowhere to go and have no idea what awaits them outside, but at least they’re protected from walkers.
Unfortunately the same can’t be said for Tyreese (Chad Coleman), who is the subject of the newest clip from The Walking Dead Season 5 premiere, which was just released by AMC. The super short clip — which you can check out above — shows Ty looking out the window from inside of a house. As he stares outside, Tyreese hears that all too familiar sound of hungry walkers approaching as several of them emerge from a nearby wooded area and seem to be in the process of slowly surrounding the house.
As Tyreese dashes from one window to another to get a better look at what’s going on, we see a figure shuffle quickly behind him. We sincerely hope said figure is Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) for two reasons. 1) Carol and Baby Judith are otherwise absent from this clip and it always makes us nervous when we don’t have confirmation that characters are still alive, and 2) Having a walker in the house is never good, especially if Carol and Judith are presumably elsewhere in the house.
Is Tyreese doomed? Should we be worried for Carol and Judith? Check out the complete clip in the video above and tell us your thoughts and theories below!
The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres on October 12 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
